Vocations

Serra Club ministry focuses on promoting vocations to the ministerial priesthood and religious life.

We know that men and women of all ages are seeking the opportunity to serve God and their neighbor. Serrans, through their prayers and vocation activities, invite these men and women to explore their call to service in the Church.

Heaven Can't Wait

As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers,
Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew,
casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen.
He said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men."
At once they left their nets and followed him.
~ Matthew 4:18-20

Is God Calling You?

Join other Catholic men and women who want to know: June 10, 11, & 12, 2022.
The Vocation Awareness Program helps single Catholic men and women, ages 18-40, find answers to questions they may have about life as a Priest, Sister, Brother, or Consecrated Lay Woman.

How do we discover our true calling? We discover it through the process of "discernment."

Serran Prayer for Vocations

O God, Who wills not the death of a sinner,
but rather that he be converted and live,
grant we beseech You,
through the intercession of the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin,
Saint Joseph, her spouse,
Blessed Junípero Serra and all the saints,
an increase of laborers for your Church,
fellow laborers with Christ to spend and consume themselves for souls,
through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
Amen.
